Nic Brown I love records and labels like this. Three tracks of intriguingly strange electronica with virtually no information about who produced it which means the music must be engaging enough to do Sexazoid's promotion for him or her. Could you imagine how that fatuous, talentless plagiarist Noel Gallagher would fare if he was denied the oxygen of publicity his army of corporate-backed PR lackeys are paid so handsomely to obtain, thus to perpetuate the outrageously wicked lie that he's some sort of genius? Personally, I'd deny him oxygen full stop. Either that or crash a cement mixer full of pigshit through his dining room window. Getting back to Sexazoid's "Born Free 21" EP, this is off-kilter, lo-fi acid, enshrouded by swirling clouds of sonic debris of uncertain origin, perfectly designed for attentive headphone listening in candlelit bedrooms rather than for filling dancefloors. I wouldn't want it any other way because of my two left feet. You can pack the tittering in right now; I've got a doctor's note to prove it. Admittedly it cost me £50 from the shiftiest looking GP I've ever seen who told me to meet him in the unlit corner of the surgery car park at 3 o'clock in the morning but it stops me having to lurch about like a baby hippo off its cute little face on mescaline just to prove I love dance music. Favorite track: EMO SLAVE.
